Tenants Meeting and Xmas Party 18th Dec 2022

To end the year with a bang! Keel Drive allotments held the first tenants meeting followed by a Xmas party. As the ice thaw began, the icy rain started sprinkling down. Umbrellas were erected and a mini bonfire created to keep all warm and reasonably dry. The Slough Mayor and Councillor of Cippenham Meadows Councillor Dilbhagh Parmar and his spouse joined us sheltering under umbrellas. Despite the weather, the mood was upbeat and a true “allotment family” feeling was present enveloping everyone. A mini discussion on the future of the allotment began regarding possible threats and ways to navigate to a brighter future. As an initial starting point, this first of many meetings was a success with a great turn out. Smiles of warmth, love for the allotment and desire for community embraced all. Dishes were brought for all to share resembled true Masterchef delights. A beautiful start to a wonderful adventure – the Keel Drive Allotment family adventure.
